At 7.30 am, our tour guide and driver welcome you to your accommodation and depart to Cai Be.

Cai Be is a river-land mixed town in Vietnam. It is a rural district of Tiền Giang Province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. Along the river, there are docks that handle passengers and goods, and the floating market.

Firstly, we stop on the way to take photos overlooking picturesque flat rice fields (depending on the season).

On arrival, you take a motor boat on the Mekong river to visit a small floating market where they sell fruit and vegetables. Vietnam is the second biggest exporter of rice in the world, after India. The Mekong delta with an area of 40,000 km2 and 18 million people. It is considered the rice bowl of Vietnam and exports over 6 million tons of rice per year.

Secondly, our trip continues with cruising along the creeks where you will have the chance to see how they trade rice at a huge RICE floating market. Rice factories along a 2 km stretch of Cai Be River.

After that, your boat will also take us to visit Ba Duc’s antique house. This is a lovely house of the noble classes which has a history of over 160 years. This house lies between the beautiful bonsai trees and fruit gardens. From our boat, a local will come with a little sampan to take you through a canal to observe the charm of Tan Phong Island.

We keep going to discover the island by bicycle, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle. We have lunch with “elephant ear” fish, and some other specialties of the Mekong delta. We then travel back to your accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City. End of services!
